Evey and I are both a bit obsessed with the Olympics which led to Jason and I having a conversation about putting on some sort of Thrifting Olympics. So now we are sitting here brainstorming the different events that we would want to have. Here's what we have so far:
Frugal Thrifter: you get $10 to come up with the most awesome stuff possible. As many amazing items as you can get. To be scored by the judges.
El Classico: you are given a list of 100 classic novels. Person who can thrift the most in any 24 hour period wins.
Fashionista: you are given a photo of a current fashion trend and then must hunt down the components of that outfit at your local thrift stores.
Hoot and Find: Evey and I both love owls, so why not have an event specific to one of our favorite animals? Whoever finds the coolest, most unique owl is the winner.
Marathrift: this is more a half-marathon -- can you hit 13 thrift stores in one day?
