I'll admit it: I still have a stack of floppy disks sitting in the back of a filing cabinet. I haven't looked at them in years, and I'm pretty sure there is absolutely nothing that I need on them. But I'm not sure, because I no longer even own a computer that can read them. And yet still, I keep them. Somehow I suspect I am not alone on this front. So instead of throwing them away, what else could we do with them? I did some research and it turns out, there are actually lots of great possibilities out there!!

How cute would these planters be in your office space?!?! So easy to make! Or perhaps a desktop caddy to hold all your pens and miscellany?
Or perhaps you want to update your floppy disks so that they can stay with you into the modern age? Now you can use this tutorial to turn a floppy disk into a portable USB drive.
Check out this rocking messenger bag you can make too! Just make sure you put a liner of some sort inside of it so that none of your stuff falls out!

You can also outfit a pretty sweet workspace for yourself with this nod to past technology as your literal "desktop." Simply cover your work surface with floppies and then set a piece of glass or plexiglass on top it. Presto! Funky cool desk!

Or if you really want to go all out, you can go ahead and pimp your ride like this adventurous person did. What do you think? Too much? ;)
